Running The Risk
A 2 track soul jazz single (6m 12s) — released June 15th 2009 on Freestyle Records
There are very few contemporary groups who can boast a pedigree like The Perceptions. With the main man Snowboy driving from the front, ex members of the JTQ and Speedometer leader Leigh Gracie on guitar, and Italian jazz super star Sam Gambarini on Hammond Organ, it is no surprise this group are tighter than a golf ball in a hose pipe.
What is very special about this new 45, aside from the contribution on 'Running The Risk' from funky horn master and ex JB Mr Fred Wesley is that both these super funky numbers are exclusive and re recorded versions from those on The Perceptions 'Introducing' debut album. So if totally fresh, soul jazz nuggets is your bag, this brand new 45 will be like all your birthdays and Christmas' rolled into one!
